Arthritis is one of the leading causes of disability in the world. It is increasingly evident in developing nations, where a rural lifestyle and high levels of manual labor place excessive stress on joints. While there are more than 100 types of arthritis, the most common form is osteoarthritis (OA), also called osteoarthroses or degenerative joint disease.
